Historical NotesModel of MESTA machine, which was a punch press that made aircraft wheels for large aircrafts. It was one of the largest press machines ever made. Made by donor Donald J. Sentner, a premier model builder and owner of Design Specialties in Bethel Park, on a commission from MESTA who desired a dramatic piece for a trade show exhibit. It was built in their Castle Shannon shop, taking three and half to four months to build. It is built to 3/8-inch scale, and painted in "MESTA green" color. Mesta offered to purchase it at a cheap price, but Design Specialties decided to keep it on display at their shop in Bethel Park.
