DescriptionVery sheer, synthetic, pink net-like fabric dress with cut-out black butterfly lace appliques. Mid-length sleeve, gathered at top and hem. High waist, gored skirt flowing into full hem. Low V-neckline, bow ties at back. Matching, black velvet, 2-inch belt, 2 snaps with loop bow in front.Historical NotesPart of a collection of clothing worn by Vardi (Marshall) Veeder during her debutante season in Pittsburgh in the 1930s. Vardi (Marshall) Veeder was the granddaughter of the founder of Marshall Elevator Company. Donated by her son, Nicholas P. Veeder, Jr.
