Historical NotesLouis W. Bierbauer baseball card. Louis W. Bierbauer was an American professional baseball player. He was a second baseman during the late 1880s and 1890s. He started his major league career with the Philadelphia Athletics from 1886-1889. He went on to play for the Pittsburg Pirates from 1891-1896. The card has the player name misspelled as "Bierbaur" when it should read "Bierbauer." Old Judge did not print a corrected version.
