Historical NotesBasketball used by the University of Pittsburgh basketball program. Pitt Men's basketball team captured its second all-time Big East Tournament title after becoming just the second team in league history to win the championship with four consecutive victories. Basketball from Pitt basketball player Ronald Ramon’s final season in 2006-2007 a combination guard for Pitt. A courageous, unselfish, tough, smart and soft-spoken player who leads by example, Ramon emerged as one of Pitt's most efficient 3-point shooters in school history with a 40.5 career 3-point percentage. Ramon proved to be an efficient ball handler, streaky shooter, and solid distributor and also proved his versatility in assuming several different roles with the team including action as both a starter and reserve, primary ball handler or off guard, and as a defensive stopper or secondary defender.
