Historical NotesThe prototype for a new jersey developed by the donor as part of his responsibilities as Vice President of Business Development and Properties with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2000. Four or five new designs were developed, the shirt represents Mario Lemieux's favorite and the design chosen as the Pens alternate jersey that season. The following season it became the team's full time away jersey and eventually their white jersey for home and away. The jersey was introduced on ice on October 28, 2000, against the New Jersey Devils.
