Historical NotesAnne Nixon was a public health nurse who visited homes around Pittsburgh in the 1930s to help as needed. She generally visited families with newborn babies to assist them. According to Mrs. Nixon, people in the neighborhoods were very appreciative of her visits and respected her, even in the what she called the "dangerous" neighborhoods.
