Label TextAlcoa has experimented with many uses for aluminum, though not all of them have caught on. This aluminum violin was produced around 1932. It is durable and produces great sound, but orchestral musicians at the time preferred to use traditional wooden violins and so we do not see aluminum violins in use today.
