Historical NotesDonor Lawrence C. Korchnak's grandfather, Joseph Korchnyak, used this cane for selecting livestock at stockyards. He purchased the animals for his butcher shop in Springdale. Most of his meat came from Armstrong Packing on Washington's Landing (Herr's Island). In later years, he used the cane as a walking cane.
