Historical NotesThumb splint worn by Ben Roethlisberger, who wore the number "7" on his team uniform. The quarterback injured his thumb in November 2005, and continued to wear this splint along with a glove (2007.116.2) up to and including the Steelers' Super Bowl XL victory against the Seattle Seahawks in Detroit, February 5, 2006.
