Historical NotesJacket worn by donor James W. Horner, collected to document his incredible career as a wrestling official for the PIAA and WPIAL. The jacket was worn before the start of wrestling meets and tournaments. A graduate of Montour High School, Jim Horner was an educator in the Bethel Park, South Park, and Peters Township school districts for 39 years. During his 27-year tenure as a wrestling official, he officiated 700 high school meets, including numerous tournaments and championship matches. Horner was also involved with several WPIAL committees, boards, and programs. In recognition of his contributions to regional high school wrestling, he was inducted into both the Southwestern Pennsylvania Wrestling Hall of Fame (2005) and the Inaugural Class of the WPIAL Hall of Fame (2007).
