Historical NotesJohn Roup was the son of Jonas Roup, husband of Catherine Winebiddle Roup and father of Rebecca Roup. His daughter married William Baum. This painting was a bequest to the Historical Society of Western Pennsylvania from the estate of Mrs. Paul J. (Helen) Baum. Paul J. Baum was the great grandson of John Roup.
