Historical NotesWooden crate used to hold bottled Todd's Tonic, a wine-based medicine produced by Homewood Pharmacal Company.Label TextWooden crate used for carrying twelve bottles of Todd’s Tonic, produced by Homewood Pharmacal Company, which operated from 1925-1931. Its contents include California wine and useful medicinal ingredients. As this was during prohibition, Todd’s Tonic, at 20% alcohol content, may have been a sly way to produce and market an alcoholic beverage.
