Historical NotesPart of Carnegie Museum of Natural History transfer. Originally donated by Colonel Archibald Blakeley to the Carnegie on October 15, 1902. Blakeley was regiment commander of the 78th Pennsylvania Volunteers, and brought the trunk back to Pittsburgh as a reminder of his regiment's involvement in the Battle of Chickamauga.
