Historical NotesIron City beer can commemorating Primanti Brothers 75th Anniversary. The popular Pittsburgh restaurant began as a small wooden lunch stand in the Strip District run by Joe Primanti and his nephew during the Great Depression. In 1933, the “original” Primanti Brothers restaurant opened on 18th street in the Strip District and is still open today.
