DescriptionPressed glass jar with lid. Transparent and opaque glass in Co-operative Flint Glass Company pattern #489 in Sunset color. Dimensions15 x 5.5 in. (38.1 x 14 cm)
Label TextThis jar was completely yellow in color when first made. The shading was achieved by exposing the formed object to the heat of the furnace or the “glory hole.” The chemical formula of the jar caused it to change color, copying the shading of more expensive ceramic and art glass objects.
