Historical NotesSigns were used in the windows of the office of Lee's Floral Shoppe. The offices were located beside the floral shoppe. Both were located on Center Avenue in the Hill District. The shoppe was owned by the donor's aunt and uncle who were prominent in the African American community.Label TextJohn Wesley Lee, Lois Lee Dorsey, Carl and Alexander Lee owned Lee’s Floral Shoppe, located at 2117 Centre Avenue from 1937 to 1998. This family business served the Hill District and other parts of the eastside of Pittsburgh.
