Historical NotesThe daughter of a wealthy East End industrialist, Howard Evans, Evelyn never married. She lived in the Squirrel Hill home that had been her parents and grandparents and pursued her interests in gardening and civic and volunteer work. During and after World War II she served in the Red Cross.
