Albert Buck

Albert Buck was a former City of Pittsburgh Police detective who left his post to found Buck's Seaplane Base. The base, also known as Triangle Aviation, taught students of aviation and ran weekend tours to Conneaut Lake. It was located at the base of the Sixth Street Bridge and later moved near the Manchester Bridge. Buck was the son of German immigrant and Allegheny City saloon proprietor Frank Buck (born Francis Bock). Frank Buck was a founding member of the Union Camping Club of Allegheny.
