Smith & Porter Company1866 - 1871

Later known as H.K. Porter Company. The “light” locomotives made by the H.K. Porter Company in its Lawrenceville facility hauled everything from Connellsville coke to sugar and bananas grown in South America. These small railroad engines specialized in hauling loads in small, specialized spaces, often requiring only a single operator.
