Historical NotesLauryn Williams, of Rochester, Pa., wore this uniform when she ran in the June 2004 NCAA track Championships at the University of Texas in Austin. Williams won the 100 meter race and placed third in the 4x100 meter relay.Label TextBorn in Rochester, Pa., Williams proved to be small, but mighty. She excelled in track at Rochester High School, then went on to become one of the most decorated Miami Hurricane athletes of all times. A nine-time All American and 11-time Big East Champion, she won the NCAA 100 meter championship in 2004 with a time of 10.97 seconds, second fastest in the world that year. Her speed and determination launched her international career in track, eventually earning her multiple World Championship and Olympic medals.
