DescriptionColor lithograph on paper. Oval portraits of each member of the Eclipse Barge Club. It includes twenty-six (26) members with their names printed below their portrait. Image of a man holding an oar on either side of the print at center. In the middle, is a scene with a few boats in a body of water and men paddling the boats with trees and tents in the background. Signed just right of center. The name of the printing company is left of center.Dimensions26.5 x 36.5 in. (67.3 x 92.7 cm)

Historical NotesDonated by Mrs. Robert Milligan in 1921.Label TextIn 1860 the Eclipse Barge Club commissioned a lithograph of club members and their boat “Albatross.” Members were mainly young, middle-class professionals, and included attorney Wilson McCandless, jeweler J.B. McFadden, and Benjamin Bakewell of Bakewell Pears & Co. glass manufacturers.
