DescriptionCast iron plaque. Rectangular; flat back; silver-grey stepped border, slightly raised as frame; 2 D-shaped tabs on either side w/ 2 rings holding steel chains at back; front face with gold base, black wagon with gold-spoked wheels; narrow front handle on wagon; blue/gold water tank on wagon w/ segmented border below roof; small raised block on water tank side & gold pipe on roof; silver-grey hose on either side of wagon; raised pattern on wagon.Dimensions8 x 12 in. (20.3 x 30.5 cm)
Historical NotesDonated to the Carngie Museum of Natural History by Captain George W. King, 1920/1921. Formerly attached to a building as an indication that the building was insured against fire.
