Historical NotesPurchased from artist Jess Hager, through World West Galleries, Washington, PA.Label TextAmerican Bridge, by Jess Hager, watercolor, 1983 This painting shows ironworkers guiding a structural beam into place during the renovation of the first Newburgh-Beacon Bridge over the Hudson River in New York. In addition to this renovation in 1983, American Bridge worked on bridge repairs in St. Louis and Chicago, in major multi-storied office buildings in Miami, Boston, Chicago, and Dallas, and on a host of other projects nationwide.
